Do I need a permit to remodel in Summerlin?
Cosmetic work such as paint, flooring and like-for-like fixture swaps usually does not need one. Plumbing, electrical, structural and layout changes do, and in Summerlin those permits are issued by the City of Las Vegas or Clark County, depending on your village. Summerlin South addresses go through the county. As a licensed Nevada general contractor we handle required permits and inspections for you.
Does my HOA need to approve a remodel in Summerlin?
Summerlin's community associations run a design review process for exterior changes, and many villages add their own sub-association rules. Interior remodels that don't change the outside of the home generally don't need association approval, while additions, casitas, new windows or doors and other exterior changes usually do. Check your community's rules before finalizing a design.
